2017-2-15
USA, Illinois: American Transmission Co. (ATC) has received approval from the Illinois Commerce Commission for the southern portion of the Wisconsin-Illinois transmission project.
The approval has been granted for a portion of the 345 kV line that would run from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, to a Commonwealth Edison transmission system in Illinois through a new substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, that will be erected in Village of Wadsworth, reports Utility Dive.
This transmission project is expected to cost about $55 million, with the construction planned for spring 2020 to meet a proposed in-service date later that year.
The project is part of ATC’s $4.4 billion plan for transmission construction and maintenance projects over the next 10 years.
