CG to supply distribution transformer controllers to EDP

 India, Mumbai: Avantha Group Company Crompton Greaves (CG) has won a contract to supply ZIV distribution transformer controllers (DTC), also known as data concentrator units, to Energias de Portugal (EDP), one of the major European operators in the energy sector.

ZIV's 4CTI model became the first model certified by the PRIME alliance last year. In addition to several management functions, DTC retrieves and stores data from the meters, periodically sending it to the Management System, states CG in the press release.

EDP Distribuição, is an EDP Group Company operating in the regulated distribution and supply businesses in Portugal, with more than 6 million clients and 220,000 km network. The company has already installed 3,000 DTCs within the scope of the InovGrid project.
