TBEA test ester oil transformer

Chinese transformer manufacturer Tebian Electric Apparatus (TBEA) has released details about a new transformer using natural transformer oils.

According to Han Tao, Manager of International Business at TBEA, the firm has successfully designed and tested a new transformer using natural ester fluid.

Ester oils can be derived from vegetable oils and have a number of benefits as coolants, including the fact that they are fully biodegradable.

The 63000KVA/110KV transformer is not yet commercially available but it represents a major step forward for the development of greener energy transmission.

TBEA, along with competitors Tianwei Baobian Electric and the XD Group, it is one of the major Chinese manufacturers of transformers.
