MoU signed for transformer testing and repair in Indonesia

 Indonesia, Jakarta: Energy Management Division of PT Siemens Indonesia and the Indonesian energy company PT Krakatau Daya Listrik (KDL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a strategic partnership for the repair and testing of transformers in Indonesia.

Under the agreement, Siemens will be KDL’s partner in the testing and repair of transformers in Indonesia, reports Your Metal News.

Through this partnership Siemens in Indonesia will provide a transfer of knowledge and technology in order to facilitate independent and locally oriented operation of KDL. 
 
The partnership is aimed at developing competencies of KDL employees, reducing the cost of repairs and transformer upgrades, optimizing utilization of existing facilities, and creating greater business opportunities for both Siemens and KDL.
