Project launched to provide electricity for Tra Vinh

Vietnam, Tra Vinh Province: The Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC), a subsidiary of the Electricity of Vietnam, has launched the third phase of a project designed to provide electricity to more than 6,300 households in the southern province of Tra Vinh.
The project includes the construction of over 53 km of middle-voltage line, 209 km of low-voltage line and 131 transformer substations with power transformers and related electrical equipment, resulting in a total capacity of 3,000 kVA, reports VietNamNet Bridge.
The third phase of the project valued at a cost of nearly $4.3 million is scheduled to be completed by 2016.
The first phase of the project was finished in 2012, ensuring power to more than 18,900 families. Additional 10,183 households will benefit from the second phase, which is expected to be completed by mid-February 2015.
