Pestech to build two substations in Cambodia

Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur: The wholly-owned Cambodian unit of Pestech International Bhd is soon to start implementing a $26 million contract, which includes a construction of two substations and a double-circuit transmission line in Cambodia.
Under the deal, Pestech will design, engineer, manufacture, install, test and commission the substations and transmission line, reports The Edge Markets.
The substations to be erected, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, include a 115 kV facility in Oddor Meanchey, and a 230 kV substation in Bek Chan in the Porsenchey district.
The 115 kV double-circuit transmission line will run about 78 km from Oddor Meanchey to Siem Reap.
The Oddor Meanchey transmission line and substation are expected to be completed in 18 months, while the Bek Chan substation should be completed in 24 months.
