Hyosung to tap into Indian market with 765 kV UHV transformers

 South Korea, Seoul: Hyosung Corporation, a Korea-based industrial conglomerate and transformer manufacturer will participate in the GRIDTECH 2015 exhibition in its efforts to attract new clients in the Indian and the wider Asian market.

At the exhibition, the Korean business group will introduce 800 kV GIS and 765 kV UHV transformer, its strategic products to the Indian market. It will also exhibit smart-grid products including Energy Storage System (ESS) technologies.

As India’s power consumption has been surging rapidly over the recent years due to the government’s initiative to boost the local manufacturing industry, the power market of Asia’s third largest economy has been expanding at an annual rate of higher than 7% and is projected to grow to a 670 GVA market.
