Majan Electricity signs nine substation agreements

 Oman, Muscat: Majan Electricity Company has signed nine agreements worth close to $20 million for various substation projects across the company’s distribution network in the North Batina, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi.

Among the nine projects, new substations will be built with power transformers and associated electrical equipment in Al Buraimi, Al Jafrah, Al Mukhailif, Saham and Humbar, reports Times of Oman.

Other projects include expansion of the existing substations in Wadi Habib, Hajramat and Buraimi.

Eng. Mohammed Al Abri, Senior Manager of Project Management at Majan Electricity Company, stated that the company conducts many substation construction projects in the class of 11/33 kV in different areas under the company’s jurisdiction, which are all part of an electrical network expansion plan that the company is implementing in 2015/2016.
