ZTR to supply two transformers to Spain's Abengoa SA by summer 2011

OJSC Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR), a large international transformer equipment producer, plans to supply two 220 kV 62.5 MBA transformers to Spain for solar generation plants of Abengoa S.A. by June 2011.

The company's press service reported on Monday that a contract, which value is not disclosed, was signed in December 2010. This is a third contract signed with Abengoa S.A.

According to the contract, ZTR is to supply transformers for Helios I&II solar power plants (Ciudad Real, Spain).

The Solacor El Carpio I&II plant is to be launched in early 2012. It is to supply electricity to 26,000 households each and cut emissions by 31,000 tonnes per year each. The total value of the project is EUR 530 million.
