Russia, Moscow: The Moscow electricity provider MOESK has completed another stage of the upgrade project on the 110 kV Lomonosovo substation in the western district of the capital.

As part of the upgrade, the second 63 MVA power transformer has been replaced with a new 80 MVA unit. Last year, in the first phase of the project, the first of the two transformers was also replaced by an 80 MVA unit, reports RusCable.

The new equipment will increase the capacity of the substation to 160 MVA, and improve the quality, reliability and safety of the power supply in the part of the city housing Lomonosov Moscow State University and several other important educational and scientific institutions.
