Hitachi ABB Power Grids appoints Anthony Allard as Executive VP

 Hitachi ABB Power Grids has appointed Anthony Allard as Executive Vice President, Country Managing Director, USA and Head of Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ business in North America.

Allard was most recently Chief Operating Officer of BECIS, a leading distributed energy solution provider in Singapore. Having spent most of his career in the power sector at GE and Alstom in the US, he held several executive-level positions, including General Manager and Board Member for GE Prolec Transformers in the US. He was also General Manager for the GE-XD High Voltage Products joint venture (JV) and spent 10 years working for Alstom Grid in both North America and the Americas in Strategy and Operations management roles.

“Anthony Allard brings extensive experience of managing and transforming businesses in the power sector,” said Claudio Facchin, CEO Hitachi ABB Power Grids. “He will help drive value creation with pioneering and digital technologies for our customers and partners in North America, towards a sustainable energy future.”

Greg Scheu, who has provided advisory support to the Hitachi ABB Power Grids organization during the transition phase, will continue to support Anthony and the team in North America in his role as advisor to the Management Board, USA and North America.
