ANDE invests $12 million in new substation

 araguay, Asuncion: ANDE, the Paraguayan major electricity company, is investing $12 million in the installation of a new substation with a capacity of 90 MVA to improve the infrastructure of electricity supply to the capital corporate and commercial areas Flyers Chaco and Santa Teresa.

The construction of the new substation Mburucuyá will begin next week and include installation of three 66/23 kV, 30 MVA power transformers, along with a 4-km underground 66 kV line running from Puerto Botanic transformer station to the new substation, reports ABC Color.

The project has been awarded to the consortium CIE SA-Tecno Eléctric SA and it is scheduled for commissioning in January 2016.
