Brazil's Eletropaulo to invest $130M in power distribution network

 Brazil, Sao Paolo: AES Eletropaulo, a major Brazilian power distributor in the state of Sao Paolo, will invest $130 million over the next two years to reinforce its power distribution network in the state, reports BN Americas.

The revamp is aimed at reducing the number of blackouts in summer, and most of the investment is expected to be made next year and the remainder in 2017.

A subsidiary of US-based multinational AES Corp, AES Eletropaulo provides electricity to about 6 million customers across 24 São Paulo municipalities.
