Hannibal powers up with a new custom-built transformer

 USA, Missouri: HBPW is replacing an old power transformer in Hannibal, Missouri at the city’s South Side Substation with a new custom-built unit.

The new power transformer has been manufactured in Mexico. Its purchase was approved in January 2017 and it took eight months to build, reports Hannibal Courier Post.

The old transformer that was manufactured in 1969 has been removed and hauled away.

The South Side Substation will be out of service throughout the installation of the new transformer.
