Giant power transformer arrives at Ust-Srednekanskaya HPP

Russia: A giant 135-tonne power transformer has been delivered to the construction site of Unit 3 of Ust-Srednekanskaya hydroelectric power plant, operated by RusHydro.

The 220 kV, 220 MVA transformer has been manufactured by Power Machines - Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers and is scheduled for installation in summer 2017.

The generating Unit 3 should be put into operation in 2018.
