First Philec opens new transformer plant in Batangas

 Philippines, Manilla: First Philec, a Southeast Asia’s transformer manufacturer based in the Philippines, has opened a new production facility in Tanauan, Batangas.

The new plant will mainly use high-efficiency amorphous metal for building the transformer core, reports Manilla Standard.

The manufacturing facility will cater to the needs of distribution utilities, rural electric cooperatives, and establishments in the property, commercial and industrial sector.

Once operating at full capacity, the plant will manufacture transformers at a rate of 24,000 units per year and provide employment for at least 500 workers.
