GE to supply main transformer for 163 MW wind farm in Texas

 USA, Texas: The General Electric Co. unit has provided the construction financing for 163 MW Falvez Astra wind project, which will enable the construction of the wind power plant in the Texas Panhandle.

For the wind farm designed to use 68 wind turbines, GE will also supply the main power transformer and will operate and maintain the wind farm under a 10-year full service agreement, reports SeeNews Renewables.

This is the first utility-scale wind project for Washington, DC-based Falvez Energy.
