Alstom manufactured 200th 765kV transformer and reactor

India, Gujarat: Alstom has manufactured India’s record 200th unit of the 765kV transformer and reactor at its facility at Vadodara in Gujarat.

Since its inception in March 2009, the company has provided the highest number of 765 kV transformers and reactors for the Indian electrical grid, according to the company press release.

“This is an outstanding achievement for Alstom and a great contribution towards the ‘Make in India’ spirit of the country,” said Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India.

Apart from Power Grid, Alstom has been supplying its transformers to state utilities like Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited.
