ESCO acquires diagnostic test equipment provider

 ESCO Technologies Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of Vanguard Instruments Company, a test equipment provider serving the global electric utility market, as the newest addition to Doble Engineering Company.

Located in Ontario, California, Vanguard develops and manufactures diagnostic test equipment that is used to measure the health of critical substation equipment such as power transformers and circuit breakers, and protective relays, according to the press release from Doble.

The company provides its solutions to electrical utilities with generation and transmission assets.

The business will continue to operate from its current location as a product line of Doble Engineering as part of ESCO's Utilities Solutions Group (USG) operating segment.
