Contract awarded for one of the largest ever substations in B.C.

Canada, British Columbia: F&M Installations Ltd., a company based in Nanaimo, Canada, has been awarded a USD 25 million (CAD 33 million) substation contract for B.C. Hydro’s Site C dam project on the Peace River.
Under the contract, the company will build the south bank substation, one of the largest substations ever to be constructed in British Columbia, for the USD 8.1 billion hydro project in B.C.’s Peace region, reports Alberni Valley News.
The project, located in the Fort St. John area, will be at the equivalent size of 48 football fields. It will take about 36 months to complete and at peak construction, will employ 110 workers.
