Brazil tenders transmission projects worth USD 14 billion; India’s PowerGrid to bid

 The PowerGrid Corporation of India has declared that it will bid for power transmission projects in Brazil on an EPC basis, as tenders have been announced by the government of Brazil for transmission works valued at $14 billion.

The company plans to bid for two or three packages out of 11 that are worth $14 billion, reports ESI-Africa.

The contracts would involve erecting substations and building transmission lines and towers.

The bids have to be submitted by the end of December 2017.
