Kenya Power launches $1B network upgrade plan

Kenya's national power distributor, Kenya Power, has launched a network upgrade programme worth $1 billion with an aim to provide better power supply to industrial consumers.

The initiative will involve maintenance of the existing network and include upgrading of substations, reports ESI-Africa.

The projects will be targeted at those that contribute up to 60% of their revenue in an ongoing network upgrade plan.
