Ale delivers first two Tonstad transformers

 Norway: ALE has successfully delivered and installed the first two transformers for the Nordlink Project in Tonstad, Norway.

The company has been contracted to provide the engineering, heavy transportation and installation of 14 transformers, each weighing approximately 225 tonnes, with seven to be delivered to Tonstad, Norway, and seven to Wilster, Germany, for the joint Norwegian-German renewable energy project, the company said in a press release.

The transformers were transported from the Port of Kvinesdal using a girder frame and 26-axle lines of conventional trailers along a challenging 70-km route through the Norwegian mountains.
