ABB closing ABB Composites factory in Piteå

 Sweden, Piteå: ABB is closing ABB Composites plant in Piteå, Sweden, a manufacturer of insulating components made of fiber composite materials for power transformers and other high voltage applications.

For 80 employees, 30 June next year will be the last working day as the factory will put out the lights and move its operations to Lodz in Poland, reports Piteå-Tidningen.

Upon closure, a small part of the machinery will be transported to the ABB factory in Ludvika, Sweden.
