ZTR to supply transformers and reactors to Georgia

 Ukraine, Zaporizhye: Ukrainian transformer manufacturer Zaporozhtransformator (ZTR) has successfully tested 3 reactors rated 60 MVAr, 500 kV for the new substation Jvari in Georgia.

The shunt reactors form part of the contract according to which ZTR should manufacture and supply a total of seven units of equipment for the substation, including four autotransformers 167 MVA, 500 kV, and 3 reactors, states the manufacturer.  

Testing of the first reactor was carried out in the presence of general contractor, Portugal’s Efacec.

The transformers and reactors will be supplied by ZTR at the end of 2015.
