Vietnam to invest $273M in power infrastructure

 Vietnam, Hanoi: The Vietnamese government has approved $273 million funding for a project designed to strengthen the power infrastructure in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The scope of the project includes upgrades of substations with new power transformers of increased capacity, as well as an expansion of 110 kV and 220 kV transmission lines in order to ensure a smoother and more reliable power supply, reports Customs Today.

The six-year project which is to be financed with loans from the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Fund is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
