2017-5-30
Ukraine: Ukrainian power company Energoatom will start exporting electricity produced at the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant to the EU countries Poland and Hungary in 2019.
By 2019, Ukraine is planning to complete the project of constructing a third unit at the Khmelnitsky NPP, with new power transformers, which will increase the national export potential, reports Zn.ua.
The main part of the €55 million budget will be used to modernize the switchgear and procure and install modern power transformers.
The electricity export will be carried out through the Rzeszów–Khmelnytskyi powerline to Poland and through Zapadnoukrainskaya-Albertirsa 750 kV substations to Hungary.
