Tauranga receiving major power upgrade

 New Zealand, Bay of Plenty: The city of Tauranga's rapidly expanding industrial and residential areas at Tauriko are receiving a major power upgrade with a new substation being built at the Tauriko Business Estate.

Last week two power transformers were installed at the new substation, reports Bay of Plenty Times.

The major construction project is expected to be completed by mid-2018 and the new substation should cover the demands of the area for many years.
