2016-2-9

USA, Indiana: Duke Energy Indiana has filed a revised plan with the state to update its electric grid that delivers power to more than 800,000 homes and businesses state-wide.

The modernization plan involves replacing aging components within the grid such as substations, power transformers, utility poles, and power lines, reports Times Oracle.

"The revised plan is more detailed and focuses on projects that improve the reliability of our service while modernizing our aging infrastructure," Duke’s spokeswoman Angeline Protegere said in a statement.
