Siemens acquires Infolytica to extend portfolio into low-frequency EM simulation

 Siemens has entered into an agreement to acquire Montreal, Canada-based Infolytica Corporation, expanding the company’s simulation suite into electromagnetics (EM), Infolytica announced in a press statement.

Infolytica is active in the field of simulating low-frequency EM and its simulation software is used by manufacturers worldwide to predict EM and thermal performance, with application in developing optimized solutions for electric and electromagnetic devices such as transformers, generators, according to the press release.

The addition of Infolytica will expand Siemens’ Simcenter™ portfolio for simulation and test.
