Record single shipment of transformers loaded in Rijeka

Rickmers Tokyo, a maritime vessel owned by the transport specialist Rickmers-Linie, has taken a record single shipment of power transformers, which were loaded in the port of Rijeka, Croatia.

The vessel took over a total of 15 transformers, weighing from 56 to 142 tonne each, in mid-September, representing the largest number of transformersever loaded in a single call in Rijeka, the transport specialist said in a statement.

Twelve transformers were manufactured by Končar Power Transformers Ltd. and further three by Končar D&ST in Zagreb.

The transformers were loaded in a single call within two days.
