PMTT ships first of three transformers to Kazakhstan

 Russia: Russian transformer manufacturer Power Machines - Toshiba. High-voltage transformers (PMTT) has manufactured, tested and shipped the first of three power transformers complete with the monitoring system to Kazakhmys Energy power plant.

The 110 kV, 175 MVA transformer will be installed at the recently upgraded Unit 2 of the power plant. The delivery of the second and third transformers is scheduled for 2018 and 2019, respectively, the manufacturer said in a press statement.

The contract for the three transformers was signed within the framework of the modernization project of the four power units of Kazakhmys Energy power plant.
