The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has received approval from the Federal Government to start a pilot funding scheme of $200 million for the refurbishing of its existing transmission lines and substations in the country.

The approved funding scheme is designed to complement Federal Government’s funding of 127 transmission projects in the country, reports NAN.

Within the scheme, TCN has recently completed the upgrade of Hadejia 132/33 kV substation in Jigawa with an additional 60 MVA power transformer.
