New York moves ahead with transformer and substation upgrades

 USA, New York: New York regulators have decided to move ahead with improvements proposed for over 250 kilometres (156 miles) of high-voltage transmission lines in the state of New York, US.

The approved projects include new substation facilities and power transformer upgrades, and new 345 kV and 230 kV lines, reports Utility Dive

The projects will now head to a competitive bidding process managed by the New York Independent System Operator.
