Krasnodar upgrades its largest substation

Russia, Krasnodar Krai: Kubanenergo, a Russian power generation, transmission and distribution company, has completed the first stage of the reconstruction of the 110 kV OBD substation in Krasnodar, replacing the critical power equipment in this largest electricity supply centre in the city.

As part of the upgrade, the old 10 MVA power transformer has been replaced with a new 16 MVA transformer, reports Advis.ru.

In 2016, the next stage of reconstruction will be implemented, which includes the replacement of another transformer with a more powerful one.

The upgrade is aimed at installing additional capacity to create conditions for connecting new consumers in Krasnodar.
