Ghana’s biggest substation nears completion

A 396 MVA power distribution substation is nearing completion at Dawa near Ada in the Greater Accra Region in Ghana.

The substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, is to be completed in December and will become the biggest power distribution substation in the country in terms of capacity, reports Graphic Online.

The project will cost $80 million and is expected to serve the entire eastern corridor, including the upcoming Dawa Industrial Zone project.
