First of three transformers arrives from Portugal to Salto Grande

 Argentina: The first of the three single-phase power transformers has arrived to the Salto Grande hydropower facility, as part of the upgrade project of the hydroelectric complex located on the Uruguay River between Concordia, Argentina and Salto, Uruguay.

The power transformer was supplied by the Portuguese company EFACEC, and the other two units are schedule for arrival in the coming weeks, reports CN Digital.

The replacement and addition of the new equipment form part of a new transformer bank, which will be commissioned after the scheduled maintenance of Units 3 and 4 is completed.
