Fesco BoD approves purchase of 150,000 electricity meters

The Fesco’s Board of Directors (BoD) has approved the purchase of 150,000 electricity meters immediately to facilitate the consumers.
The board also approved delivery of electricity transformer and provisional budget for 2014-15 and directed to get approval for purchase of meters and transformer before 30th of July. These decisions were made in the board’s meeting held at the Fesco headquarter on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Fesco and BoD Chairman Khurram Mukhtar. The meeting was also attended by directors Ch Javed Kamal, Faiq Javed, Abdul Majeed, Ahsan Afzal Khan, Zia Alamdar, Syed Ali Ahsan and Fesco CEO Khurshid Alam. The meeting reviewed the implementation process on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and directed to execute the ERP in the Fesco within three months so that the Fesco could be recognised at international level due to the use of this state-of-the-art and advanced system. The board directed to replace all defective electricity meters within four months and approved to simplify the electrification system for obtaining new electricity connection to facilitate the new consumers and declared the Town Planning’s NOC mandatory for new connection. The board also approved the implementation of an integrated monitoring system of Customer Services Relation Management and call centres for consumers problems solutions through Customer Services Centre. Meanwhile, the Fesco employees donated their one-day salary for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan.
