Eversource moving 59-ton transformer to East Springfield

 USA, Massachusetts: Eversource has moved a massive transformer from its substation in Agawam to East Springfield in Massachusetts, following a circuitous route south into Connecticut before heading back into Massachusetts.

The final destination of the 59-ton power transformer is the company's substation at 805-815 Page Blvd. in East Springfield, reports Mass Live.

The transformer is part of a regional transmission system upgrade aimed at boosting system reliability and improving the power flow in Western Massachusetts.
