Electric utility plans for $636M transmission projects

 USA, Pennsylvania: The Board of Managers of PJM, Pennsylvanian electric utility company, has approved more than $636 million in transmission investments.

The plan involves substation upgrades, two new substations with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, two new transmission linesand improvements to current lines, reports RTO Insider.

The principal developers are FirstEnergy’s Allegheny Power, Exelon’s Baltimore Gas and Electric and Transource Energy, an American Electric Power affiliate.
