Uzbekenergo upgrading transformers and substations across country

 Uzbekistan's energy company, Uzbekenergo, has been working on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of power transmission lines and transformer stations in an attempt to increase the electricity supply to the country’s regions.

According to Ruzikul Raimov, deputy chairman of the company’s board, over the past reporting period, the company modernized and reconstructed over 1,000 transformer stations and 311 transformer units, reports AzerNews.

In the coming autumn-winter season 2017-2018, 406 kilometres of power transmission lines and 380 transformers are planned to be built and reconstructed across the country.
