Chilquinta to upgrade three substations in Valparaíso

 Chile: Abengoa has been awarded a contract by Chilquinta Energía S.A. (Chilquinta), one of Chile’s electricity distribution companies, to expand three high voltage substations and upgrade two transmission lines in Chile’s central Valparaíso region.

The work involves installing two new power transformers provided by the client, the construction of new positions at 110 kV and new feeder areas, along with the corresponding expansion of services, according to the company press release.

Also included in the contract is an upgrade of two of the client’s transmission lines.

These projects will take place in the towns of San Felipe, San Antonio and Llay-Llay.
