Alstom to supply China’s highest capacity transformers

 China, Hubei Province: Alstom has been awarded the Ezhou Power Plant phase III generator step-up transformer contract by Hubei Energy Group Co., Ltd.

The transformers will become China’s highest capacity transformers and will be the first three-phase generator transformers manufactured by a European company in China for a 2x1,050 MW power plant.

Ezhou Power Plant phase III expansion project is located in Gedian Economic Development Zone.  It is the largest thermal power generating unit in Hubei Province and is a critical electricity supply facility for the city of Wuhan.
