Afghani government approves $27.7M power upgrade contracts

 The Afghan government has approved nine contracts worth over $27.7 million for several substation, power transmission and power distribution upgrade projects.

The approved contracts cover the extension of the consultancy project for the construction of Doshi-Pul Khumri substation, expansion of Bamyan substation and installation of the new substations, reports Khaama Press.

Other approved projects include construction of the 220 kV transmission line from Doshi to Bamyan, and interconnecting power lines with the neighbouring countries.
