Abengoa to build a substation 4,000 meters above sea level

 Argentina: Abengoa has been selected to develop a new electrical transmission project in Argentina’s remote northwest province of Jujuy.

The company has been awarded a turnkey project to construct a 345/132 kV transformer station, and will be responsible for the engineering, providing of the necessary electrical equipment, the execution of civil works and the electromechanical assembly, testing and commissioning, according to the press release.

The substation will be located 4,000 meters above sea level and will be developed with GIS technology.

Works will be undertaken for InterAndes (an AES Gener company), on behalf and by order of Fideicomiso Obras de Transporte for Abastecimiento Eléctrico (Fotae).
