$19M transmission substation deal signed in Egypt

 Egypt, Cairo: The Egyptian German Electrical Manufacturing Company (EGEMAC) has been contracted by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for the supply of two transmission substations. 

The contract worth $19 million includes construction of two transmission substations in Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada within the scheduled period of 12 months, reports Trade Arabia.

Additionally, EGEMAC is establishing two transformer stations at a cost of $8.9 million, one in Tanta, Gharbeya, and one in Mashtool, Sharqeya, which will be completed within two months, according to EGEMAC official cited by Trade Arabia.

Another ongoing project falling within the Ministry of Electricity’s plan for boosting power supply is an installation of El-Tamah transformer station in Fayoum, which includes the supply and installation of a 220/66 kV power transformer and equipment, in addition to civil works. The contract is scheduled to be completed within ten months.
