2017-7-3

USA, New York City: Works have begun on the construction of a power transformer building at the site of the $1.5 billion expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Manhattan’s far West Side.

The transformer will provide power to the new expansion to the existing Javits Center, which holds major conferences and events each year, including the car and boat shows, reports Metro.

The project, which will add 93,000 square metres to the existing facility, is being supported and pushed by the New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo.
