UK government approves £300 million power station in North Wales
2017-8-1
The UK Government has approved the construction of the £300 million ($390 million) Wrexham Energy Centre at Kingmoor Park South on the town’s industrial estate in North Wales.
The infrastructure of this gas-fuelled power station will also include a 132 kV switchyard and up to three transformer compounds with up to three power transformers, reports News North Wales.
The granting of the application for the Wrexham Energy Centre came after five years of public consultation and examination by the Planning Inspectorate, with a conclusion that the station will not likely have a significant effect on natural resources and the environment.
