Two transformers from China travel 805 km across Texas

 USA, Texas: A global transport of two reactors has been successfully handled by a U.S. cargo specialist from the manufacturer in Shanghai, China, to the final destination in Gail, Texas.

The transformers weighed 85 tonnes each and measured 8 meters in length, 3.9 meters in width and 4.2 meters in height, Hansa Meyer said in a statement.

The scope of work included direct offload of two transformers at the Port of Houston, permitting and transportation, and an engineered installation solution utilizing a 500 ton hydra-slide system.

Two heavy transformer units were transported 805 km across Texas.
