Two energy projects in Seychelles receive funding

 UAE, Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) will allocate $18.5 million towards the development of two energy projects in the Republic of Seychelles.

The first agreement includes the allocation of funds towards a solar farm that will be developed by Masdar in the island of Romainville, while the second agreement involves an investment in the installation of a 33 kV power grid in the island of Mahé, reports Zawya.

The 33 kV power grid project will include installation of two substations and a 12.5-kilometre line to strengthen the transmission and distribution network in the northern areas of the island.
